POSITION:   Office and Communication Facilitator

 

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  1. Two years of college or Associate’s Degree
  2. Experience with Special Education regulations
  3. Working knowledge of MS-Office and X2 Data software
  4. Demonstrates the ability to work well with others
  5. Excellent organizational skills
  6. Must have excellent attendance record
  7. Able to have flexible work schedule
  8. Ability to perform clerical tasks such as filing, compiling spreadsheets, preparing correspondence and duplicating materials.

 

REPORTS TO:         Executive Director of Special Education and Student Services

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITES:

 

  • This position will report to the Executive Director of Special Needs and Student Services. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to supervising clerical staff, overseeing reports originated by clerical staff, and training clerical staff in accessing reports, managing databases, creating and maintaining spreadsheets and generating reports and documents as they apply to the Special Needs Department.
  • This position will be responsible for assuring that IEP’s are done accurately, within timelines, and for giving support to all levels to accomplish this when necessary.
  • He or she will prepare all official correspondence for the Executive Director of Special Needs as well as scheduling appointments and maintaining calendar entries.
  • This position will act as the communication liaison between the Special Needs department and parents and all district staff.
  • This position will be responsible for all ordering and maintaining supplies.
  • This position will also be responsible for keeping the department in compliance regarding staff training.

 

Salary and Terms of Employment: (THIS IS A FULL YEAR POSITION.)

            Salary will be based in the Fall River Schools Government Programs Negotiated Contract, Pay Scale D, Based on previous experience, degree, and credit status. Continued employment is contingent on availability of funds, program need, and job performance.
