Title: School Administrative Manager The role of the School Administrative Manager (SAM) is to oversee and coordinate non-instructional administrative duties within grade level offices at Durfee High School. Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Excellent organizational and communication skills;
- Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office suite, MUNIS, Aspen X2 and other software applications;
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a time-sensitive work environment;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality is required. .
The Superintendent of Schools reserves the right to waive a position qualification or determine that there is an acceptable alternative to that qualification. If the Superintendent intends to waive a qualification, such intent will be shared with the Fall River School Committee. Reports To: Vice-Principal Performance Responsibilities:
- Manage student information data base system and generate reports as needed
- Manage communication with parents, including responding to parent questions, student dismissals, tardy arrivals
- Assist students with schedules, passes to class, appointments with an adjustment counselor or guidance counselor
- Distribute and document bus passes as needed
- Track student daily attendance to class and meet with student after any class absence to implement attendance policy.
- Maintain parent communication to implement attendance policy.
- Document and keep records of meetings and interventions for individual students.
- Track student’s attendance if they are tardy to school and assign the appropriate consequences for tardiness.
- Enter all conduct incidents into the electronic student data base
- Facilitate detention reminders to identified students
- Coordinate student recognition awards
- Assist with fundraising, including placing orders for products, collecting and recording receipts, and complete necessary banking by making deposits with the main office
- Assist with Lunch Duty when necessary.
- Distribute and track student identification cards
- Coordinate the distribution of materials, including but not limited to student schedules, progress reports, and report cards
- Assist with detention duty as necessary
- Track locker assignments for students
- Maintain verification letters
- Maintain, organize and collect orders for supplies
- Assist grade level guidance counselors as needed
- Develops rapport and communicate effectively with students, staff and parents on a daily basis.
- Provides educational information to parents and families, and community agencies
- Serves as a liaison with community referral sources for parents
- Any other duties delegated by the Vice Principal
SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
In accordance with the Fall River Educators’ Association contract. Continued employment is contingent on work performance, program need, and funding. Unit C
